The Republic of Uganda has, by Commission, bearing date June 23^rd, 1997 appointed Dr. Mohammad Haroon Siddiqi as their Honorary Consul in Karachi, Pakistan.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan approved of this appointment on 8^th day of November 1997.

Honorary Consul of Uganda in Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Haroon Siddiqi, is a well-respected member of Pakistan's pharmaceutical community, being the Chairman of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan, Epla Laboratories (Pvt.) Ltd. He has been involved in and has led various business, charitable and community organizations throughout his career.
